On August 30, 2021, I retired as a judge of the Federal Court.
It was a strange feeling, I am telling you …
I had always dreamed of joining this prestigious court before which I had cut my teeth as a litigator. This hope will come true in 2002. I was 47 years old.
What a great adventure it has been!
For twenty years, I have traveled this great country back and forth. I have had the distinct privilege of working with dedicated staff and generous and extraordinary colleagues. Last summer, I signed my final judgment.
Time, which is patience in action, has worked well. In short, my body has aged, and yet I feel very young. No, the passion for living has not left me. Today the artist is ready to fly!
To mark this new beginning, I had the idea of doing an exhibition in a place that is so dear to me, 90 Sparks Street in Ottawa. This is my way of saying both “goodbye, dear colleagues” and “here I am again in the world”.
Unfortunately, no one had foreseen that COVID would force the postponement of the opening scheduled for September 16, 2021. Never mind, enjoy a virtual tour of the exhibition by clicking on the link below, which will take you to a video produced by Richard Tardif, professional photographer.
