The years 2022 and 2023 (the latter is far from over and looks very promising) have been very busy both personally and professionally. The Web site was originally launched In December 2021; it was no longer up to date. I spent the summer working on a complete overhaul, revamping its look – clearer, freer and brighter – and embellishing it with new images, works and content.
A NEW LOOK AND CONTENTS UNDER THE THEME OF ARTISTIC RENAISSANCE
For the past two years, I’ve been freely exploring new, previously untried forms of creation in combination with the acrylic medium: collages juxtaposed with the use of spray paint, pastels, oil sticks and so on.
Three new series clearly emerge:
The first, “Parallel Lives”, is a dreamlike return to my dreams as a schoolboy, then as a young teenager, in the climate of the 1960s.
The second, “Dans ma forêt enchantée” (“In my enchanted forest”), revisits the theme of the series “Les bois enchantés” (“The enchanted woods”) but from a new angle, that of the very beings who inhabit the plant worlds in which they hide from humans.
The third, which I would simply call “Body and Soul”, is based on symbolism, that of the human body and its invisible component: repressed emotions and the power of alchemical mutation.
Then , there are two (re)discoveries: fashion and photography. Through collaborations with fashion designer and photographer friends, I’ve come to realise how inseparable these two mediums are from my inner self. It’s a whole new, unexploited and promising potential, which leads me not only to push the boundaries between art and fashion, but to combine new digital composition tools with pictorial works and photographs.
My new website is all this at once, a ratatouille prepared with a lot of love and a range of possibilities that populate my imagination as a visual artist. I hope you’ll enjoy it!
In closing, I’d like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mikael Bayard, webmaster, for his invaluable collaboration and visual direction.
I look forward to seeing you.
